Invensys: in negative territory today. Should I close the position ?? Have closed off UK:CNA . Took a small but negligible profit. Earlier on AU:IPL got stopped out. So feeling abit ansy now. It's like 2 down 1 to go type of feeling. Although have to say, stop is in place. Setup seems to be intact. Had expected some pull back. No reason really to cut position prematurely. Just let the stop do it's job. Only thing is feeling a bit ansy that previous 2 trades had drag account equity down. So feeling the pain of decreased equity. Just want to stop the bleeding by closing all position, regardless. Disassociate from the pain. Mental trading discipline says let the blood clot by itself. Stop is in place. Setup is intact. Wait and see. Only thing I realize now is that, although I had accounted for individual trades risk/reward I had not account for group risk/reward. Which I should do to avoid this problem.

Santos : STO : An entry opportunity ??
Resistance at 13.75 : If break ? Look for 14.50
Support at 13.50 : if break ? look for 12.75
Wait for confirmation.
UK:ISYS : Invensys PLC
Stochs in a rising position. Not yet O/B but increasing bullishness. Testing the outer limit of the price band. Prices broken out of the trend channel which is also at the break of the current 4th wave. The ensuing breakout is 5th wave. Looking for to test the last high at 290 or possibly 310 if bullish sentiment prevail. Before correcting in anticipation of a bull trend.

Looking for prices to test 290 which is the last resistance and also the upper line of the upward sloping trend channel.

In hindsight. I asked myself why ?? Why ?? Wasted my time and effort not to mention money. Had already labelled the chart. Only a few more days, could have easily profited and pocketed some sterling pounds !! The date of post is not the exit date. It was actually yesterday.
Markets may get lift from poll call ?? - Why ??!!

QUICK SUMMARY FULL STORY ELECTION 2010 MARKETS
AAP
Australian financial markets could get a modest lift on Monday after Prime Minister Julia Gillard ended three weeks of political uncertainty by calling an election for August 21.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Dow Jones had dropped almost 300 points on friday before.
Why would ASX be any different given the bearish sentiment on Wall street ??
Why would prices on ASX rise just becasue an election day has been fixed ??
. Market was not affected went Kevin Rudd was outsed, which would have a bigger impact of anything vs an election date.
. If people were sidelined before why would they jumped in now just becasue an election date is confirmed.
. Anyway election is no longer than December which is only a couple of months more.
. An election date does not affect policy, etc.
. Why would it impact the stock market.
My take then is that its either politically correct journalism or the analyst is playing it safe and covering all bases.

Palladin Energy : PDN : small 5th wave play
Palladin : A small 5th wave play .
-----------------------------------
BEFORE
Charted the friday before. What looks like a small 5th wave play become dealy wrong. Look at the chart on on Monday morning.

AFTER
The morning after. The Palladin chart on Monday morning. What look like a small 5th wave very quickly and seriously fall apart. Moral of the story : Always wait for confirmation. Dont pre-emt, especially 4th wave break out.
Looking at the chart now, prices could still be in the 4th wave correction. But it could also be in the process of a larger down trend. Actually in the process of a minor 3rd wave.

------------------------------------------------------------
A study on Stochastics and prices and its relevance to each other :

2 bounces below the slow stochs.

Riversdale prepares for capital raising
Updated: 11:41, Thursday July 15, 2010
Shares in Riversdale Mining Ltd have been placed in a trading halt, while the company prepares for a capital raising.
Riversdale was awaiting the outcome of late stage negotiations regarding a potential capital raising, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
Riversdale last month signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Chinese steel producer Wuhan Iron and Steel (Wisco), which is poised to take an eight per cent stake in Riversdale at $10 per share.
Wisco's eight per cent stake will come from Riversdale issuing new shares and will cost the Chinese firm about $200 million.
Wisco would also take a 40 per cent stake in Riversdale's Zambeze coal project in Mozambique.
The deal would help Riversdale fund its biggest coal project, the Zambeze coal play in Mozambique, which has an estimated nine billion tonnes over a strike length of 14 kilometres.
The deal with Wisco values Zambeze at $US2 billion ($A2.29 billion).Riversdale shares will remain in a trading halt until commencement of normal trading on Monday, July 19 or when the announcement is released to the market.
Riversdale shares last traded at $10.30

Ansell completes restructure, eyes takeovers
The new chief executive of Ansell Ltd, Magnus Nicolin, has moved quickly to put his stamp on the gloves and condoms supplier, announcing a group restructure and a search for takeover opportunities.
Mr Nicolin took over as chief executive officer of Ansell in March from Doug Tough.
Ansell said an updated and more assertive growth strategy had been developed "that calls for faster and more focused execution of organic growth plans with an increased emphasis on acquisitions".

NWH : NRW Holdings : 1st Update : Triangle
2nd Thought. Taking another look on the another look. Ummmm...maybe there is a bullish case after all....all said and done.....let market action dictate the action....
Alternative count which has maybe become the prefered count. Base on the original count prices is at the 4th wave. Anticipating a completion of the corrective 3waves of the 4th wave. Whichever charts, actually predicting a 5th wave down, all that is left is the timing of it. Taking another look with trend lines plotted in, 4th bwave may have actually complete and stalling. So, should be actually anticipating a 5th wave.
WBC : Daily and Hourly chart update
Prices on daily chart stop smack on the resistance line of the downward trend channel. Stochs seems to suggest there might still have some room left on the upside. Hourly chart, prices is in a upward trend channel with $22.50 as the resistance point. Price in addition on the daily chart has stopped in between the moving averages. Prices basically has converged on trend lines and moving averages. Having said that I believed that prices still have some more upside albeit with a temporary minor correction. If $28.5 and $20.5 can be counted as 5 waves then the 3 waves in prices, should bring the retracement to $23.5 [33%] and $24.5 [50%].

What do You Think ??
Looks like 4th wave is completing or about to complete albeit with a possibility of lower than a flat consolidation. Looking to enter at about $4.25 mark for a 5th wave upside as marked out by the upper reistance line of the upward trending channel.

Australia's telco giant may have one monkey off its back after its National Broadband Network (NBN) deal, but its boss says it now has its sights set on diversifying the business and satisfying unhappy customers.
Telstra chief executive David Thodey concedes the NBN deal is yet to be signed off by shareholders, but is confident that the company's $11 billion non-binding financial agreement with the federal government will hold.
"It's very important to understand that Telstra, the board and myself, could not sign a non-binding contract unless we believed it was in the best interest of our shareholders," Mr Thodey told AAP.
After 12 months of NBN negotiations with the government, Mr Thodey says he now is determined to change the way Telstra does business and is focusing on new revenue channels.
At the glitzy, star-studded Sydney launch of Telstra's latest retail offering, the T-Box, which is the launch pad in its quest to digitalise home entertainment, Mr Thodey told AAP the company was looking at new acquisitions, but would not be drawn on specifics.
"As we change the business from a very strong reliance on fixed-voice services, we've got to find new revenue streams that allow us to compete in new, different ways," Mr Thodey said.
The business was looking at new technologies and capabilities to build its portfolio of products, which could incorporate new media, content and mobile applications.
Mr Thodey said Telstra wanted to develop the core business of telecommunications.
"It's critically important for Telstra to have a number of growth initiatives for us going forward," he said.
"We've got to keep growing the business, got to keep it dynamic, agile and really moving ahead and leading people in entertainment (and) communications."
Mr Thodey has cited improving customer service as his top priority since his appointment just over a year ago.
Since his appointment, complaints have dropped 33 per cent, from the 10,000 Telstra received in the previous year under previous boss Sol Trujillo, but he said Telstra can do better, aiming to reduce the number by another third.
The company was ahead of schedule to deliver NSW public school classrooms high-speed broadband, Mr Thodey said.
The $280 million project was tipped for completion in September, but Mr Thodey said it was likely to be ready before that.

AXA : Monthly chart : for perspective Only.
Prices seems to be just sitting on the upward support line and still within the upward sloping trend channel. If the end of 4th wave separates the whole wave pattern by 2 or 50% then we can look at $7.00 as a possible updside target. ...Forgetting not that this is a monthly chart, we are looking at a 4 to 6 months time frame.
