. Surprised ! Again
. Macau is the richest province by per capita
. What it lacks in size, 4th from the bottom of the table in GDP
. It is the richest or has the largest output by per capita
. The gambling city's highest by per capita of China's province
. Is not lost to the tiny island state of Singapore
. Which as if trying to make up for lost time
. Added 2 casinos back to back of each other.
. Singapore tries to emulate Macau as the Gambling city of South East Asia
. As it opens all the economic taps within it's power to do so
. Sometimes bending backwards and go against long held policies that protect
. That intergrity of Social fabric.
. With as high as 40% foreigner to local population
. It goes so far as threatened the identity and culture of the national fabric.
. Local population is sided and diluted with foreign invasion.
. Sometimes prided itself as the champion of transparency and corporate accountability
. It bends itself backward to accommodate Manchester United non voting rights IPO
. Which other institution will invest substantially with no voting rights ??
. Definitely not Warren Buffet, whom Ho Ching, the CEO of Temasek is compared to.
. Endearingly called the Buffet of South East Asia or even Asia.
. But Temasek, Singapore Inc will !
. Lee Kuan Yew who rejected Casino's almost all his entire life if not political life
. Saw 2 major gambling casino in the Island.
. If there is any saving grace for him, the 2 casinos is not on the main island he
Once rule.
. As one casino is in an offshore island Sentosa
. The other in a newly reclaimed land, commissioned for used after his rule.
